All the lamps in this series are slab constructed, with thrown attachments.
 
The fluid shapes of Matisse, Arp and Miro have always fascinated me. The variety of these shapes are much inspired by them.
 
The decoration on this lamp was inspired by an ancient Cypriot pot. I love how the simplicity of the decoration interplays with the complexity of the shape and how the circles are continuous but interrupted by the shape.
